I was part of a team that exercised general oversight for editorial policies and guidelines, and that made editorial amendments to each issue prior to publication.

  I have appeared before the Singapore Courts and in mediation in a wide spectrum of high value commercial matters including insolvency and restructuring, fraud and asset recovery, and shareholder and contractual disputes. I am conversant across various industries including telecommunications, and banking and finance.Notable Matters:- Acting in major insolvency and restructuring events including Hyflux, Swiber, Ezra, EMAS and Singapore Flyer.- [Asialaw Asia-Pacific Dispute Resolution Awards 2016's Matter of the Year] Acting for a defendant in a widely publicised, complex cross-border dispute relating to the purchase of US$2 billion of art works. The SGCA’s judgment is a leading case on worldwide freezing injunctions: Bouvier, Yves Charles Edgar v Accent Delight International [2015] 5 SLR 558. We also obtained a stay of proceedings on FNC grounds - the case involved novel issues, including whether the procedural advantages offered by the SICC should be considered within the Spiliada calculus: Rappo, Tania v Accent Delight Ltd [2017] 2 SLR 265.- Commencing suit for alleged negligent tax advice. An interlocutory in this matter is pending appeal to the SGCA: BMI Tax Services Pte Ltd v Heng Keok Meng [2019] SGHC 9.- Acting in a dispute arising to the purchase and proposed development of a high-value land parcel: Lim Geok Lin Andy v Yap Jin Meng Bryan [2017] SGCA 46.- Acting for a major telecommunications company to defend a claim in excess of S$34 million for alleged unauthorised infrastructure use.- Acting in the SICC for a global petrochemical group and its chairman in claims associated with the collapse of Jurong Aromatics Corporation: Arovin Ltd v Hadiran Sridjaja [2018] 5 SLR 117.- Acting in the SICC for a multinational precision engineering company in claims against a former director for breaches of duty and corruption.- Acting for a brokerage firm in fraud recovery and insolvency proceedings against former brokers in the wake of the 2013 Sky One crash.
