      As the library manager at the Amani Center, I had the immense joy of sharing my passion for reading and learning with more than 100 homeless youth in Moshi, Tanzania. In this role, I organized reading groups, and field trips to the Kilimanjaro Regional Library, tutored reading, and taught a communications course. I expanded the library program to include computers and periodicals, and also reorganized and catalogued the bilingual staff and faculty library.

Our multimedia library is growing every day and we have over 30 computers and wireless. I also teach advanced ESL classes and computer skills. As a community project, I am helping to design, launch, and staff a mobile book program to neighboring villages. We've just received approval from Biblionef and our new books will arrive any day now!
