Word contained the largest Christian Record and Music company (Top artists—Amy Grant, Sandi Patty, VeggieTales) and the premiere Christian trade book imprint (Authors—Billy Graham, Max Lucado, James Dobson, Charles Swindoll, Chuck Colson).

  Led Operations and Finance areas for the company. Reported at various times to the CEO and the CFO of the company and was directly responsible for an approximately $16 million expense budget and approximately 250 employees. Served a diverse customer base that ranged from individual consumers to international distributors as well as retail giants (WalMart, Barnes and Noble, Family Christian Stores, Lifeway, etc.) World’s largest inspirational book and bible publisher and the 7th largest U.S. trade book publisher with $250 million in annual revenues. Thomas Nelson was a publicly traded company for 45 years until 2006 when it was purchased by a private equity firm. Thomas Nelson purchased Word Inc. from Capital Cities/ABC in 1992. Led all non programming and talent areas of this $40 million Live Event business that housed the Women of Faith events and the Revolve Tour (for teen-aged girls). These are inspirational two day events held in NBA/NHL arenas across the United States.
