  I worked in a role of system leadership in education. I connected with other education system leaders, headteachers and staff in schools across Cambridgeshire to coordinate school improvement and professional learning opportunities. As with other TSAs we were tasked with providing Continuous Professional Development and Leadership (CPDL), School to School Support and the designation and deployment of Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs). But at the Kite TSA we were innovative. We created and I project managed The Cambridgeshire Festival of Education ( @CambsEdFest - www.cambsedfest.com ) which has now successfully delivered a day of joy-filled optimistic CPD to over 1000 teachers. Also created by the Kite TSA and project managed by me was the Family STEAM Festival ( www.familySTEAMfestival.com ) - an event designed to encourage parental engagement and raise aspirations across the STEAM subject (STEM with Arts). It grew to over a thousand people attending this free day of learning and inspiration. The Kite TSA closed it's doors permanently on 06/08/20. The Department of Education is taking a new approach to School Improvement and Teaching School Alliances are no longer part of the strategy. Show less

  Together with my co-founder we launched a new social enterprise called WONDER. It is a movement to create a space for social connection that does not revolve around alcohol. We want to help people to have a good time and naturally elevate their pleasure neuro-chemicals. It is a 'Sober social for everyone' because they are inclusive events for people who would like to go to alcohol-free events regardless of their reason. With 5 events under our belts (the first one took place at The Missing Sock on Saturday 21st July 2018) we were looking to grow WONDER in 2020 but the pandemic had other ideas. We've pressed the pause button and will see whether to bring it back.
