Sept 2010 - Jun 2015Working alongside the Head of Newstrade Marketing to develop and grow Haymarket’s consumer magazine portfolio. The Portfolio includes brands such as Autocar, F1 Racing, Four Four Two, Stuff, What Hi-Fi and Classic & Sports Car. This is a publisher facing role, and involves working closely with each brand to understand publisher priorities, and create and develop title specific retail campaigns, including promotional bookings with retail and trade marketing spend. I process sales data weekly to present to partners and update them with our performance as well as competitor title and category performance. We also present and sell in titles to retail buyers, and I have so far presented to Tesco and Morrisons directly.During my time at Haymarket I have developed and executed a highly successful retail strategy, which has grown revenue as well as increasing retail listings. I also have experience of the ABC auditing process, using Nectar data and responsibility over a £1 million budget. Show less The key purposes of this role are accurate allocation of copy to retail outlets using bespoke systems, timely closure of titles to ensure production and distribution schedules are not adversely impacted, and delivery of retail and title level KPI’s, efficency and profitability for titles.In this role I also provided support to the Copy Managers with sales forecasting and print planning. Through this I gained significant insight into the portfolios I allocated, and my experience taught me about the logistics involved in the supply chain process. Working across both Haymerket and H Bauer titles I also worked closely with the Newstrade Marketing teams when working titles in order to support the publishers' key aims, while also ensuring that Frontline objectives were met.
