      During my tenure at TMC Kolkata, I was working with Cancer patients from the early stages of Diagnosis and cancer treatment planning by the Primary specialties of Medical Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology, Pediatric Oncology and Onco-surgery and other Dept's. Wherein the patients from the beginning of their cancer treatment were managed by me for addressing their various unique and complex cancer related symptom complexes, few of which have been outlined e.g. Cancer Pain, Chemotherapy induced Peripheral Neuropathy, Malignant Bowel Obstruction, Cancer Anorexia-Cachexia Syndrome, Chronic Breathlessness, Cancer related fatigue, Chemotherapy induced nausea vomiting, Recurrent Malignant ascites, Sepsis and other infective conditions, dys-electrolemias, etc. Thus, ensuring better and sustained patient compliance and adherence to the planned treatment regime.I looked after out-patient as well as patients admitted in the hospital, under our Dept as well as cross referrals from the other Primary teams. I was a part of an on-call during which I had been attending to various oncologic emergencies of Palliative Medicine, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Digestive & GI Oncology departments.Apart from the clinical duties, I was also responsible to teach and train junior doctors and nurses in various aspects of Palliative Care.I had helped frame the Departmental Clinical Management protocols and also authored original research articles, which have been published in peer review journals Show less
