I assisted with presentations and data collection for the EnLaCE (ENgaging LAtino Communities for Education) Kellogg Foundation grant as well, engaging community parents in P-16 educational pathways.

  As the Office Manager of a first-year school, my responsibilities included not just maintaining records and files, but recruiting students and families and creating the school culture as well. I participated in decisions regarding school policies while at the same time handled the necessary tasks of running a school, such as ordering books, dealing with food providers, and communicating with parents in formal and informal settings.

  Managing and supervising student tutors and student workers, including tutor training. I also develop and conduct hands-on workshops for students in a range of topics, including study skills, time management, writing tips on thesis statement and research organization, and MLA, APA and Chicago style citations. I am also available as needed to assist students directly with the questions and concerns they have regarding the Etudes CMS among many other subjects. I will be working with our transition team to help students in CANVAS beginning with a pilot course spring 2017. I am currently working with the director to expand online tutoring resources for online students and exploring options to connect students to work together informally outside of class. Show less
