Established an initiative that reduced Enterprise-wide risk exposure, optimized operations and raised security awareness throughout the automotive industry. The initiative began with a comprehensive discovery process to investigate and define the scope and extent of enterprise risk exposure to inappropriate and/or fraudulent vehicle key code access. The findings led to the building of a Company awareness campaign about security concerns followed by the implementation of new controls intended to restrict key code access to authorized users at North American dealerships. I had developed and launched a new audit and certified documentation process to ensure that application users operate within the parameters of the Ford Key Code Usage PolicyEnhanced security became necessary to protect Ford Motor Company, Dealers and Vehicle Owners from dire consequences associated with inappropriate and fraudulent key code usage. To achieve required security levels, my work led to the establishment of a new Company position where I led the design, development and launch of a secure vehicle key code online application for over 3, 000 dealerships in addition to monitoring key code access and usage through an ongoing audit process.RESULTS: U.S. Dealer vehicle key code requests decreased by 88% following the launch of the secure online key code application in combination with conducting monthly key code usage audits. The Company and Dealers achieved higher levels of vehicle key code security (reducing risk exposure) while maintaining both dealer and customer satisfaction. Show less Responsible for all aspects of FMCDealer.com (content, design, GUI, UX and research providing insights for ongoing website improvement). FMCDealer is the Ford business-to-business website for dealership personnel, intended to provide timely communication and essential business apps. FMCDealer is the primary communications channel to support all Ford and Lincoln franchised dealerships. As the business lead interfacing with IT, my core responsibilities included strategic planning, information architecture, content management, as well as providing direction for website design and the user interface (look, feel and usability). Show less Managed the activity to improve sales operations and performance in US Ford Lincoln dealership parts and service departments. Core responsibilities included the development and delivery of training initiatives for P & S personnel along with launching several creative service marketing campaigns to drive traffic on the lane (a dealership's second showroom for selling customers needed parts & service). Developed and directed the initiative to provide service business growth training for Service Managers. The success of the program lead to the development of a Dealer Principal workshop with similar content to assist in improving their dealership profitability and customer satisfaction. Developed and launched the Dealer Principal Fixed Operation Business Growth Workshop. Over 1,000 Dealer Principals (owners) attended the workshops in 2004 contributing to record-setting Ford parts sales of $4.5B, record-setting profits of $1.2B and record setting market share. Show less Pioneered the first market research efforts at Ford intended to gain design and development insights for both consumer-facing and dealer-facing websites. Conducted user experience testing on several Ford websites where the findings from research led to improved site design and functionality. Designed and launched multiple online research projects requested by internal Ford business owners in addition to coordinating several focus groups for gaining qualitative insight. Served as the primary e-business research subject matter expert for the Ford Enterprise. Show less
