As lead trainer: performed as part of a team which enabled over 120 cilillian and uniformed weather Airmen on a vast array of weather detection equipement and programming data servers / systems which reported key data in real time across the globe. We were charged by leadership to improve lesson plans and coursework and created a checkride - 'go-no go' - evaluation system for students which ensured their grasp of the material. This team won the Air Force's Small Team of the Year for 2009.For the repair team, I was in charge of a 4 man "Systems Help Desk/Control Center". We responded to system trouble tickets across Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa often working directly with vendors and customers to restore communications across a number of different communications platforms and systems. I was personally responsible for finding a series of issues with the performance and electrical failures of our weather radar assets within Iraq and Afghanistan. I submitted changes in that program which the vendor agreed to replace, saving the Air Force $7M in costs. My team was also responsible for repairing over 95% of the systems across our Area of Responsibility leaving our next team with 4 open tickets (down from 35). Show less
