Jun 2014 - nowTo assist and supervise the Stability team members (technicians) as necessary as they process incoming samples, conduct set-downs, pulls, destruction and any sampling handling activities. In general, support activities within the Stability group of the Site Operations Support Department. Function as a Stability technical lead interact with external and internal customers as needed for project support or regulatory support and mentor or provide technical guidance to Stability associates. Coordinate, schedule, delegate, perform and/or support the job functions of the Stability including sample receipt, sample distribution, sample disposition and accompanying electronic (Track-IT, GLIMS, SIS) or paperwork documentation. Review existing practices, author, co-author and/or revise procedures/methods/SXP’s as appropriate. Prepare and/or review shipping paperwork as needed. Prepare mid-year and year-end associate reviews, complete HR activities (time entry approval, PTO approval, salary adjustments, etc.), supporting client audits/visits, and communicating with cross-functional teams on analytical activities. Serve as backup to the SOS II Manager functions as needed. Show less Physically receive, count, label, and organize samples/standards for the purpose of further distribution. Perform registration activities for all samples and standards into the chain of custody software. Input and submit storage and distribution charges monthly.Obtain DEA clearance and participate in controlled substance inventory verification. Responsible for responding to chamber alarms and assisting with sample impact/resolution. Perform support activities for/on behalf of the Quality Control department. Develop and execute work plan or schedule for self and junior members of the team.Maintain high quality documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance and site SOPs documenting work as appropriate within notebooks, forms, etc. Execute procedures or methods of increasing complexity with high quality and reviews own work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Perform review of peer's documentation (of moderate complexity) for accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance. Able to identify larger quality/compliance gaps within the team. May participate in or draft deviations.Author technical documents, such as methods, forms, SXPs, training materials, and/or certificates of analysis with little to no guidance.Train, coach, or mentor others on technical material, applied business matters, &/or applicable compliance topics.Execute efficiency/compliance improvement projects with little to no guidance. Nichole walked them through the work orders for stability pulls, patiently answered all their questions. She also scheduled and worked her schedule such that they could witness a actual pull event. She did all this while maintaining her KCM workload. St.Pete personnel are now officially trained on the stability module. They left with a greater understanding of the system and all their questions answered. Nichole helped while not allowing any of our pulls or study starts to suffer delays or misses. Show less

This includes giving the training for Chemical Hygiene, RCRA, and Hazardous Communication courses and collaborating with EHS to revamp the courses to fully incorporate GHS and keep employees more engaged in the training. The advantage of a safety committee representative teaching these courses is that employees view her as a SME peer, relatable, and knowledgeable in the department specific procedures. Nichole has a desire to pitch in and help and learning new ideas and areas, which assists the EHS department managers to free up their time for strategic planning and tactical projects/tasks. Good feed back from new hires have been given to EHS. Resource allocation, employee engagement, and employee relations building. Nichole has also given ideas to EHS managers on ways to build engagement and increase safety culture on the floor. Show less

On 31 Aug 17 she worked till 10 pm to ensure all the samples were properly stored and documented. This was a critical set down for the client and Client revenue and she didn't spare any effort to complete the task. Nichole helped with GLIMS and Track-It for about 7,000 samples required for this study set down. Freezers began to go out of tolerance within an hour and resolution looked to be several hours away, An alternative location was needed for the ultra-low temperature samples. The following folks worked together to locate an available freezer in building E and move… Show more Your dedication to our customers and your uncompromising integrity, personal accountability and respect for each other.On 13 July 2016 city power and backup generator power to the stability grid both failed at the same time. Freezers began to go out of tolerance within an hour and resolution looked to be several hours away, An alternative location was needed for the ultra-low temperature samples. The following folks worked together to locate an available freezer in building E and move the ultra-low samples to that freezer before any potential damage could occur. This team consisted of Deb Wade, Alicia Lewis, Justin Kline, Ray Jordan, Tara Monroe, Nichole Ward, Melissa McAdams, Christina Wray and Sharon McNealy. This coordinated effort kept several thousand samples, reference standards, and accompanying stability programs from being temperature compromised during the power outage and chamber recovery time. She has fully supported the initiative and on going SDS data uploads, which was successfully completed in April 2016.Nichole has volunteered to deliver Chemical Hygiene, Hazard Communication and RCRA Hazardous Waste training for new employee hires. She has done this with enthusiasm and passion with little coaching or additional information.
