City, university of london
Oct 2014 - Jan 2018I have defended my PhD thesis in Medical Image Analysis and Machine Learning from City, University of London on 29 November 2017. My PhD research revolves around solving computer vision problems in X-ray images of the cervical spine. I have extensively used random forest and deep learning methods to solve localization, detection, segmentation and shape prediction for cervical vertebrae. I have been able to produce a fully automatic framework, that takes a real-life emergency room lateral X-ray image of the cervical spine and can localize the spine, vertebrae centers, and corners, detect vertebral boundaries, segment vertebrae bodies and predict vertebrae shapes. I have written my own codes from scratch for random forests and created, modified and innovated several deep networks to solve different medical imaging problems. I am an expert level developer in Matlab, having more than 10 years’ experience with it. I have used MatConvNet toolbox for the implementation of deep methods in my PhD research. I am currently converting my implementations to Python codes using TensorFlow. My expertise in C++ is at the novice level. Show less
