Started business as a high end car audio company designing and installing audio systems and custom built speaker cabinets for customers. After getting my AAS degree I shifted business to accommodate custom computer builds and repairs. Then when the internet was officially born I developed a web site for my business and started doing web design as well. Then companies started having more and more computers so I had to adapt to handle networking also.Trying to keep up with both programming software and a large variety of internet protocols and new software was unbelievably taxing and time consuming. As software came and went and protocols were ever evolving. Not to mention Photoshop, Premier and Flash getting ever more powerful and complicated. It was the love of it that kept me going.I decided last year that it was time to put all of my cumulative knowledge to work for me helping others, so I decided to get my Safety License as well as assist other's seeking maintenance knowledge that is sometimes scarce and inconclusive. I decided to build a site and book store where I will write all of the training materials and publish E-Books inexpensively for the masses to assist others with an affordable path to the required knowledge to do their jobs quicker and more productively. Thus helping them and their employers and hopefully gaining them more respect and the ever important money. It is taking considerable time though as I am financing all of the associated costs and writing all of the materials myself. I just hope that in the end it benefits me as well as others Show less

    • Cm graphics inc

      Feb 2001 - Oct 2005
Sub contractor/ printing equipment installation and repairs

Was hired to repair and install printing equipment that they sold or leased across the North East.* Designed, built and hosted their web site.* Rebuilt their customer database.* Built and installed dual servers and 6 workstations.* Built their local network and connected them to PrimeSources WAN.* Repaired and installed a wide variety of printing presses.

    • Vibracoustics llc

      Aug 2001 - Dec 2004
      Vp of development and engineering

Partnered with an associate to develop vibration analysis equipment.* Consulted on some projects for the DOD and the automotive testing industry.* Spent considerable time trying to develop an all inclusive hand held testing device but at that time there were no cpu's fast enough for all of the data and calculations. Tried symmetrical processors and the costs overrode our target pricing. * Designed computerized modules to collect and transfer data to a central processing unit. Wrote software in LabView which transferred data to a Visual Basic program for collection and organization which then was transferred and stored in a Access database for trending and further analysis. * Ran out of funding prior to prototype being built. Had to drop the entire project as I had signed a 7 year Non-Compete and Non-Disclosure agreement. Unfortunately at that time Quad Core Processors were large and too power hungry for hand-held devices and USB was too slow to handle the data transfer rates. Now the processors exist and so do the vibration analysis devices. Show less
