  Senior Geologist (Mining): Involved in ongoing design and implementation of infill RC drilling programmes for development of grade control models, and reconciliations to the reserve model.Input into optimisation of mine plan whilst transitioning from construction phase into production, as well as developing the onsite grade control procedures and systems from scratch on Liberia’s first commercial gold mine.Assisting the geology manager in the creation of short term planning block models (Conditional simulated models in a shear hosted highly variable gold deposit). Generation of dig strings using macrotised scripts to standardise design process, and develop monthly ore feed plans in accordance with budget targets. Reconciliations of block models to mill, and classification of various sources of dilution and ore loss. Proposals for improvement, including blast monitoring studies, and validation of optimal drill hole spacing for the various ore domains.Face mapping of a “lithologically” blind ore body, with a focus on structural controls in further refining block models where possible, rather than using conditionally simulated grade cut-off boundaries alone.Management of 34 direct reports in the daily pit operations. Continuous training of the local workforce into the various roles and responsibilities of the department, as well as junior geologists in the use of grade control and mining software. Part of the senior management team on Liberia’s first commercial gold mine, taking the project from the definitive feasibility study stage into production, with exposure to grade control in a remote and challenging environment.Areas of expertise involve mentoring junior production staff, management of both Diamond and RC drilling campaigns, implementation of mine production and reconciliation systems, resource estimation, in pit mapping, and drone photogrammetry systems.Since joining CSA Global/ERM as a consultant, involved in various mineral resource estimates, due diligence, and fatal flaw reviews, as well as training and on-site support for open pit (gold-silver epithermal, gold porphyry and shear hosted) operations in various stages of production.
