  Provincial Coordinator

  As a Provincial Coordinator (Western Cape) my role involved effectively coordinating the implementation of the National Youth Service (NYS) employment creation programme; and the UNHCR Livelihoods programme. I led a team of District Coordinators and Team Leaders. I performed key stakeholder engagement to ensure acceptance and support of both the NYS programme and the UNHCR Livelihoods programme. Together with my provincial team, we recruited, selected and placed unemployed youths into the Presidential Employment Creation Initiative in community-based organisations to enable them to gain work-related experience. The UNHCR Livelihoods programme entailed recruiting and training vulnerable individuals (PoC) in entrepreneurship skills, employment/job-readiness skills, and digital skills to promote self-reliance. As the Provincial Coordinator, I compiled and submitted monthly qualitative reports on the programmes. Show less
