  As a data scientist on the customer profiling team, I work on generating the legally compliant customer profiles that power personalization at bol.com for customers who gave their explicit consent to do so. I am responsible for enriching these profiles to include observable behavior, declared interests, derived insights, and predictions from the machine learning models I contribute (from ideation, to prototyping, to production on an enterprise scale). In addition to my team responsibilities, I am a member of bol's Data Science Golden Path Committee, where I work to establish and share data science and machine learning best practices.
