In addition, the company holds a 50% share in McCormick Condiments SA (Pty) Limited, the sauce manufacturer for global supply to Nando’s retail and its restaurants.My role as Financial Director was to provide strategic and directional support, both commercially and operationally, to the local leadership team, in addition to maintaining financial stewardship and corporate governance across both companies.Responsibilities/Achievements included:• Strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders, including Nando’s joint venture board, company bankers, insurers and other.• Delivery of factory and company budgets and forecasts as owner of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.• Daily governance of manufacturing operations and weekly KPI reporting in dashboard format, resulting in labour and waste reductions of 30% and 40% respectively.• Delivery of capital investment plans and participation in relevant government incentive programs whereby R4 million in incentives were recovered in one year.• Set of customer pricing, including preparation of models and negotiations with external customers. Design and implementation of business policies, processes, controls and procedures to ensure sustainability.3.
