Serves as a senior advisor to the Assistant Vice Provost on time sensitive, confidential and high priority issues, projects and initiatives. Oversees a team of Program Coordinators who assist in the preparation, validation and submission of academic authorization documentation. Submits timely and accurate submissions of all new program and program change proposals to the New York State Education Department. Plays a key leadership role in supporting the academic mission of the university by facilitating accurate, streamlined, and comprehensive processes for academic authorization, ensuring new programs and substantive changes to existing programs are processed in a timely manner and membership in NC-SARA remains active. Upskills as necessary to maintain appropriate subject & policy expertise for academic authorization needs; monitors relevant federal and state policy changes pertaining to state and multi-state authorization, coordinating with the appropriate university leaders and schools as necessary.
