      Activities and Societies: Art History Graduate Student Association, Vice President of Fundraising UAMA Curatorial Intern, Fall 2016 As a part of the MA requirements at the University of Arizona I completed a thesis titled; "Culturalcide: The Systematic Destruction and Rewriting of World History at the Hands of ISIS"This thesis tackles the current destruction of art in the Middle East as a study of the evolving use of ancient sites and monuments and proposes a sustainable rebuild project that creates community spaces that recreate the contemporary function of destroyed sites within the community they resided in.

      During the summer between my undergraduate and graduate program I studied abroad at the Universidad de Granada in Granada, Spain. I tested advanced for Spanish and therefore all my classes were conducted completely in Spanish as were any interactions with my host family and classmates. My studies primarily focused on Moorish Art and translation of art documents from Spanish to English.

My primary research topic is the ways in which cultural conservation efforts in Latin America can be used as a model for conservation in the Middle East, and the ways in which such conservation can be a stabilizing force.       As adjunct faculty in Art History and Humanities, I teach ART1301, "Art Appreciation", ART1303 “Art History I”, ART1304 "Art History II", and HUMA1301 “Intro to Humanities”. I teach these courses emphasizing cross-cultural transactions and the larger implications of arts and culture on our global history. My teaching philosophy is based on using art as a tool to further cross-cultural connections and understanding. My teaching method relies on recognizing and encouraging students' individuality and offering a space for students to share their unique voices and experience. Show less

Through a strategic lens with a focus on collaboration, equity, and sustainability I plan and execute our local community engagement initiatives, employee volunteerism benchmarks, and arts education programming. With our goals encompassing a market of approximately 6.5 million, I prioritize data-collection, tracking KPIs, and market research to create a locally-focused and inclusive social impact strategy. My work as the Impact Manager requires successful collaboration across internal departments, both at the local and company-wide level as well as collaboration with external stakeholders and local partners.
