I provide individual career counselling to begin career exploration and development; in addition to effective case management and triaging with external referral services to support a client’s recovery and readiness for work re-entry. This involves using assessments, vocational group modalities, job training skills, higher level skill-trainings, and ends with support groups that ensure job survival, retention and maintenance. Career is Life, and Life is Career; I work with the women to explore and identify the person-environment fit that correspond to the individual’s specific needs, interests, strengths, types and abilities; allowing for a satisfactory job congruence that will tenure into a meaningful career path. I also collaborate with other important staff members to methodise an individualized treatment plan that includes on-the-job training which provides structure and feedback in a safe learning environment for every women’s successful re-entry.
