  My role as a Paralegal includes undertaking written and verbal communication with other departments, clients, external law firms and the courts regarding matters ranging from personal injury claims, class actions (redress scheme), medical negligence law, workplace health and safety claims, contract law and privacy law. I also organise the solicitor’s workloads, participate in evidence collection and manage the Legal Services inbox. As an Information Access Officer with the Right to Information Unit, I have to understand and practically apply privacy law legislation. I have gained a working knowledge of the Information Privacy Act and the Right to Information Act and am able to apply the legislation in practical scenarios and prepare legal documents to solicitors and consumers in relation to the legal findings.
