I also developed excellent communication and leadership qualities in this role as it was my duty to motivate and coordinate the team in training and competition.

As Social Editor I created regular content for and managed The Tab London’s online and social media presence, specifically on Instagram and Facebook. As a reporter at the Tab, I had to work to deadlines and write with concision as well as creativity.   Working with CoAltus on a telephone fundraising campaign for the University of London gave me the incredible opportunity to speak to hundreds of UoL alumni from around the world. It was very rewarding to raise funds for a variety of university wide projects, while simultaneously enjoying wonderful conversations with the alumni of UoL. Hearing about the varied university experiences, career trajectories and ongoing research interests of UoL alumni was quite inspirational, and I look forward both to the next campaign, and to pursuing further education paths that were brought to my awareness by some of the alumni I spoke to themselves.   My role as a bookseller was a predominantly customer-facing role, it involved assisting customers find books and making recommendations specific to their interests and reading history. This required an up-to-date knowledge of recent publications and reprints, as well as a more holistic awareness of critically acclaimed books in most subject matters, from environmentalism to crime fiction. The role also required a high degree of creativity, attention to detail and proactivity in the presentation and maintenance of displays and the shop floor, as well as a great deal of cheerful and competent spoken communication. I also assisted at several instore and offsite events within this position, often taking sole responsibility for representing the brand well when setting up and running a stall alone at venues such as the London Library and Sotheby's Auction House.   Freelance fundraising event coordinator

  Building on years of previous experience assisting at events, in April and May I independently organised successful, sold-out fundraisers for families trying to evacuate Gaza, raising over £2000 at each through art, book, raffle and ticket sales. I have just coordinated an event screening several short documentaries to raise awareness of men’s mental health struggles and fundraise for C.A.L.M. In organising these I have undertaken venue hire, performer, speaker, and vendor outreach, marketing design, social media content and event promotion, event facilitation on the day, and attendee/performer stewardship.
