The Women's Makerspace Workshops I managed, led, and organized with my team were recognized for the impact these workshops had on the Stevens Institute of Technology community.The mission of the Women's Makerspace Workshops are to close the disparity between men and women/nonbinary students taking advantage of the workshop spaces on campus. Every Stevens student deserves equal access and knowledge of the tools available on campus, regardless of their gender identity. That is why the team holds monthly educational workshops regarding topics such as Soldering, Basic Tool Use, 3D Printing, and Vinyl Cutting targeted specifically towards women to make a predominately male populated space more approachable.
