      I was one of 22 students selected to participate in the Heritage Youth Researcher Summer Program at the University of Calgary. I was placed in the Health and Wellness Lab in the University of Calgary's Faculty of Kinesiology. My internship involved researching the role of exercise and other physical activities in improving the quality of life in cancer patients and translating preexisting scientific knowledge into lay terms.
