  I undertook a variety of tasks which included the costing of programs in consultation with other government departments, providing advice to government on program initiatives and reviewing implementation of recommendations of the Auditor General. This gave me invaluable experience in developing relationships amongst stakeholders and writing policy documentation.

  I volunteered my time to oversight the financial function of a small non-profit organisation. I oversaw accounts payable and preparation of financial statements. I was nominated for the Mayor’s Volunteer Award.

  Finance officer

  I joined the Australian Consulate as Finance Officer after travelling to New York. I was responsible for the accounts payable function, maintenance of accounting records and cash management.

  I was appointed as the Finance Officer to the New Zealand Mission. I had full oversight of the finance function, encompassing financial and management accounting.
