  In 2009 was invited by the Government of Oman to assist them organise the Ports Midterm and Long Term Ports Strategy for the Country as an Port Affairs Expert this required improving the Then Ports existing Facilities , strategy for seamless transfer of Port of Muscat commercial cargo to other Omani Ports to make way for a Tourism Port at Port of Muscat , Commercial Management of Sea Ports in Oman, guide the Government on Logistics strategy in Oman including overall Management of All Ports for Governance , Develop the upcoming new Ports in Oman , I was responsible for developing the following :(i) Business Engineering for New Commercial & Industrial Ports (ii) Conceptual strategy for the Ports (iii) Management & Governance Model for New and Existing Ports(iv) Develop a 2020 strategy for the Major, Minor Ports & Logistics in Oman including their role towards the national economy. The Ports which were strategized included :a. Port Sultan Qaboosb. Port of Duqm c. Port of Khasabd. Port of Shuiaqe. Port of Sohar In 2011 , it was decided by the Government that the Port Sultan Qaboos commercial cargo operation should be closed down by 2014 and All Commercial Cargoes including , Containers , Break Bulk , RO-RO to be shifted to Port of Sohar a Land Distance of 250 KMS north of Muscat.
