      In this role I proactively developed and executed communications strategies for McDonald's USA. I ensured ongoing dialogue within the business, kept a pulse on hot topics, and anticipated emerging issues. My team aligned the communications strategy with supported U.S. business departments (e.g., Operations, Training, Marketing, Technology, etc.) My primary responsibilities as the Communications Manager in the Houston Region included leading internal and external communications, ongoing management of the regional franchisee leadership council, and continuous alignment of regional and U.S. business priorities. I also acted as a strategic thought partner to the regional management team and developed communications strategies that profitably built sales and customer growth. In this position, I provided leadership counsel to cross-functional teams to ensure that large-scale meetings and events met the expectations established by management. I also led the external and internal strategic communication processes for U.S. Training, Learning & Development. In this position, I supervised the Registration Team within McDonald's U.S. Training, Learning & Development. We coordinated the training, hospitality, and business classes required for all McDonald's employees. I also led the audit with the American Council on Education in order to apply college credits to all McDonald's training.
