      Responsible for Convergence Programme implementation and management to ensure spend and output delivery are achieved at Priority level in connection with the Priority 4 Strategic Investment Fund areas and Priority 2 workspace programme and provide Convergence Team in capital build expertise. Ensuring the programme delivered projects relevant to the programme, and ensuring ERDF compliance, through effective contract management, to minimise the risk of irregularities. The programme funded large capital builds that I was responsible for ensuring ERDF compliance. This included the Pendennis Building & Redevelopment of the Yacht Basin. The extensive redevelopment of a 7,564m² non-tidal wet basin to accommodate superyachts before and after their time in the yard with the construction of new “halls” which provides capacity to work on up to six vessels at any time. Alongside this is a hoist capable of moving boats of up to 640 tonnes around the new facilities. Show less I was responsible for delivering the SW RDA's objectives of constructing new workspace and regeneration sites in line with corporate policy. The role centred around acquiring land and buildings, negotiations, direct delivery of sites and buildings, funding developers to construct their sites and premises, grant applications for ERDF funding, and negotiating Joint Ventures with landowners/developers.Responsible for projects that ranged from the construction of 1,000 – 10,000 sqm of office and industrial accommodation for high-growth companies to the funding, management and regeneration of project such as the town centre at St Austell and new premises for a marine company on Bickland Industrial Estate, Falmouth. The town centre regeneration involved considerable stakeholder and public engagement during the consultation stage and progress updates through the project build. Show less
