Outpatient clinic:In the outpatient clinic setting, I always build on a good, and professional doctor-patient relationship in order to reach the proper diagnosis/differential diagnosis and thus provide the most appropriate treatment/management according to current clinical practice guidelines, requesting, as indicated, the radiographic and laboratory required investigation. In the clinic, I carry out common outpatient procedures like cerumen (earwax) clearance, control of nosebleeding, diagnostic nasal endoscopies, as well as more elaborate ones like removal of ear, nose and throat foreign bodies using appropriate instrumentation.On-call according to the rota managing ear, nose and throat emergencies like nose-bleeding control, removal of foreign bodies in the nose, ear or throat (in office and under general anesthesia), acute airway management (in collaboration with anesthesiologist).Operative:Common surgical operations for the ear, nose and throat like adenoidectomy, adentonsillectomy, myringotomy with/without tympanostomy tube placement, septoplasty, coblation turbinoplasty, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (middle meatal antrostomy, partial and total ethmoidectomy, sphenoidotomy, frontal sinusotomy), myringoplasty/tympanoplasty, tympanomastoidectomy. I first joined in the main facility in Abu Dhabi, and after concluding orientation period, I transferred, according to higher management request, to a peripheral branch in Bani Yas, Abu Dhabi, (Al-Salama One-Day Surgery Center), where I singly started the ENT clinic and the number of patients rose steadily over a period of 3 years. I also performed multiple surgeries suitable for one-day care setting with satisfactory outcomes and minimal complications. For cases requiring longer postoperative care, I performed their operations in the main facility in Abu Dhabi. In 2016, I was joined by another colleague and later returned to the main facility in Abu Dhabi (Al-Salama Hospital). Show less
