Also the ability to handle large volumes of cash accurately requires good use of mathematical skills to work out the branch reserve cash and ATM limits and ensuring that the reserve book agrees with the stock amounts.• Reliability – as part of the job role you are responsible for additional tasks for example key holder for the front door keys and also safe keys. In addition the role gives access to customer accounts and Barclays systems, therefore reliability is key, you must be confident with your ability to do your job and also be reliable enough to keep keys and passwords securely and have them with you each time you are in work.• Punctuality – this is very important, you must show that you can be punctual in every area both for customers and colleagues to allow each day to run smoothly and with no detriment to customers.• Telephony/IT – in branch it is often a requirement to contact both customers and various departments via the phone, the enquiries made on the phone are usually customer queries or complaint handling, and communication over cash orders.       I joined this yacht for the final 2 months of an incredibly busy season in order to assist the captain with their final boss trips. With my previous experience I was able to find my place within the team with ease and quickly developed relationships and understanding of how the yacht was run and used. I gained valuable experience in large tender driving with a 38' chase boat and further watersports experience having worked with a professional instructor. Experience gained with very large guest parties where I was relied on for bartending. I feel that my time on this vessel was extremely important and has given me further confidence in my ability as a valued member of any deck team. Show less

      Employed on this new privately owned Feadship In the Caribbean, I embarked on a very busy and well travelled season with the owner, venturing to places such as Belize, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos and Mexico, before making the journey across the atlantic to begin a period in the yard for warranty works. This followed by a further 5 week Mediterranean boss trip. As the most experienced of the deckhands on board I worked very closely alongside the second officer to learn and work towards my development, gaining valuable experience in leadership, Bridge procedures and equipment and further exposure to general deck operations.       Originally Employed as Bosun on this charter vessel based out of the Bahamas and Florida. Promoted to Second officer in October 2020 and then stepped up one year later to Chief Officer. This is a very busy Charter yacht specialising in the Bahamas area. During my time on board I have experienced several major shipyard periods including an extensive refit involving a full paint job, full refurbishment of all tanks and bilges and many other projects requiring management of crew and contractors, as well as project planning, time managing and prioritising of particular works.Due to the busy nature of the programme we conducted numerous charters, day trips and events with some of the highest grade clients from around the world. Using vast experience and local knowledge I have been able to manage teams in providing unforgettable guest experiences and interactions where we regularly plan beach events, excursions, organised events and games such as treasure hunts and beach olympics. I possess varied navigation experience both with paper and full ECDIS paperless bridge procedures including use of AMCS and C-maps chart databases. As Chief and safety officer on board I continued to learn and progress to the best of my ability becoming competent with a full ISM vessel and working closely along side the master and maintaining vessel standards with the management company. I achieved further experience organising and training a deck team of six where leadership and management skills are key. Show less
