      As the editor-in-chief, I was responsible for selecting the editorial board for the 2015-2016 school year with help from the paper's adviser. Throughout the year, my responsibilities included editing every section of our paper (news, features, arts and leisure and sports) along with my own section (perspectives), finalizing all changes before sending to print and handling any issues that may have arose in regards to content or editors. I also was maintaining the online version of our newspaper, social media sites, advertising and the image we present online in general. Monthly, I met with the president of our university to ensure the newspaper was heading down the right track. There were also other media outlets on campus - an online magazine and radio station - and we met regularly to go over potential partnerships in upcoming stories. This position gave me the hands-on experience that allowed me to develop my journalistic skills along with my leadership abilities as I taught other editors/writers how a newspaper operates. We worked on a 100 percent commission based salary, therefore, whatever I earned financially was based off my work ethic. This job allowed me to show and utilize all of my strengths and in the end I reaped the rewards of them. I had the chance to train incoming partners and expand my overall leadership abilities.       I was contracted to work as the bus coordinator during the Pan Am Games in Toronto. My responsibilities included communicating with the bus drivers, maintaining the schedule throughout the day, dealing with any concerns the bus driver may of had and making sure the athletes, officials and media officials were on the bus. When the bus was late due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances, it was my responsibility to locate the bus and determine its arrival while maintaining constant communication with my manager until the bus had arrived. During the time of the absent bus, I had to keep the athletes, officials and media officials up-to-date on when the next available bus/transportation vehicle would be arriving.
