      Open Space Technician

      I have worked with the San Luis Obispo Ranger Service for two years as an Open Space Technician. During my time in this job position I was awarded my sawyer certification by the USFS and have gained extensive knowledge on fire fuel reduction efforts and flood prevention practices. I have assisted Rangers to construct and maintain trail systems and maintain forest health; as well as general upkeep on chainsaws. I have also assisted in education during the Junior Ranger programs.
