  This research investigates the potential of gellan gum (GG) hydrogel as an enhancer for magnesium phosphate cements (MPC), with a particular emphasis on improving their injectability. The proposed cement was based on magnesium phosphate and gellan hydrogel (cross-linked and plasticized by selected additional components). Basically, the cement powder (composed of Mg and P source with a constant Mg/P ratio; containing GG’s cross-linking agent) was added to the polymer solution (with different concentrations: a, b, c) at a constant P/L ratio, and the resulting paste was placed in a special mold, then cured in a water bath for 24 h. The properties of the resulting biocomposite cement, such as setting time and temperature, microstructure, mechanical strength, biodegradation rate, phase and chemical composition, injectability, and human osteoblast compatibility were evaluated.   In the period from 01.07.2023 to 31.08.2023 an internship was carried out at the Wroclaw University of Technology. During the internship, projects on ultrafast and femtosecond fibre lasers were developed and implemented. During the construction process, skills were acquired in the field of welding and fine adjustment of fibre laser components: connecting different types of optical fibres by welding and ways of testing them.The built lasers were modified with a laser amplifier. The given amplifier was implemented using a non-linear optical fibre selected according to the required characteristics.The duration of the internship resulted in gaining experience in the field of design, construction and modification of lasers. Participation in the project allowed the acquisition of practical skills related to the study and analysis of results related to the operation of the constructed devices. Show less
