Sept 2004 - nowVtc/lead electronics engineerIn this current position I am responsible for troubleshooting all hardware and software problems for both secure and non-secure CISCO MCUs (Multipoint Control Unit) or MSE 8510 within the SOUTHCOM domain, as well as support outside command posts and stations within our AOR to include systems that support Windows 7 platforms. I continue to identify and repair any technical issues within our command infrastructure, and maintain, rekey, OTAR, and troubleshoot crypto devices (KIV-7HS/KIV-7M/KIV-19M/KG-194). I have personally installed and configured audio/video equipment such as TANDBERG MPS-800s, CISCO CODIAN MSE 8510s, TANDBERG VCSs and Tandberg Desktop Units and cameras to include POLYCOM HDX/VSX 4000/6000/7000. I have expert skills utilizing the TANDBERG Management Suite (TMS) which allows me to troubleshoot the SIPR and NIPR infrastructures as well as maintain our Telepresence VCSs, Expressways, CODIAN MCUs, Cisco C60 CODECS, CISCO MSE 8330 and MPS 800. I am also the admin for our TMS servers, (MS Server 2008 and SQL Manager 2008) which are required to run our TMS environment. I am proficient with the ADTRAN IMUX Atlas 800 which is used to administer and assign incoming/outgoing ISDN dialing procedures using various T-1/PRIs as well as understanding port configurations on the ADTRAN. I currently hold the title and responsibilities of Lead Tech/Supervisor in which I provide guidance to our VTC support technicians and upper level managers. As well as conducting re- keys and OTARs (over the air re-key) Was part of the building project to the new UNCLASS HUB which maintains the VTCs on our UNCLASS Domain. I am the administrator for our MGC Interface to both the SECRET and UNCLASS Hubs and ADTRAN interface. The installation of audio/video equipment such as Polycom Desktop Units and cameras, terminating cables and running them from office to office within the command and troubleshooting network connections within the Internal Polycom Domain. Customer service is still a must as we continuously deal with all the flag officers within the command. I am also responsible for troubleshooting any point to point and group Video Teleconferences that we bridge for numerous connections/calls on a daily basis.
