      Worked in a team to remove invasive species by hand removal, cut and treat, as well as girdle methods. Collected and cleaned native prairie species seed.       Performed Point Intercept Survey of lakes to assess the presence and distribution of native and invasive plant and animal species. Outreach to boaters about AIS laws and regulations as part of the Clean Boats Clean Waters program.Partnered with Regional AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species) coordinator to perform outreach and educational programs with volunteer groups, middle school classes, library programs, citizen science and lake association groups in Marquette and Green Lake Counties.

      Lead a class of about 20 university students through a three-hour introductory animal biology course lab. I create written quizzes and conduct lecture-style portions while facilitating group work and hands-on activities. Facilitated learning in both in-person and virtual formats. I collected data during the summer months pertaining to the establishment and management of planted native Wisconsin Prairie communities. I was responsible for reaching out to land managers and landowners in Wisconsin to recruit participation in the research project communicating via email, over the phone and in-person to collect site information and discuss participation expectations and create relationships in the community.
